Zimbra Catchall Account

To set up a catchall account in Zimbra, just do this!

 

[zimbra@hostname ~]$ zmprov ca catchall@domain.com password1234
f9b5fc74-74d1-4e96-a4de-4f8980623cbd
[zimbra@hostname ~]$ zmprov modifyAccount catchall@domain.com zimbraMailCatchAllAddress @domain.com

 

Then to test it out…….tail log & send a message to an invalid:

 

[root@hostname ~]# tail -f /var/log/maillog | grep catchall

May 12 11:39:24 hostname postfix/smtp[24084]: 600B33519001: to=<catchall@domain.com>, orig_to=<blahblahblah@domain.com>, relay=127.0.0.1[127.0.0.1]:10024, delay=4.9, delays=0.02/0/0/4.9, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (250 2.0.0 from MTA([127.0.0.1]:10025): 250 2.0.0 Ok: queued as 4A81C3519005)
